Bob the Drag Queen Pushes Back on Trolls Sniping at Their 'Traitors' Tactics

Spoiler alert: The article below contains details about the first several episodes of the current season of "The Traitors."

"Drag Race" winner and "We're Here" alum Bob the Drag Queen promised viewers some bloodlust in the trailer for the new season of "The Traitors," and they did plenty to keep that vow. Trolls, however, took to social media to snipe at the drag icon for their moves on the show - and the drag diva didn't take it lying down.

Among the gripes from fans were claims that Bob "was making the show less interesting" by seeking the elimination of Chanel Ayan and Dorinda Medley, both of whom have been cast members on the "Real Housewives" franchise, Billboard reported.

But with "a series of messages posted on X Sunday (Jan. 12) and Monday (Jan. 13)," Bob put the trolls on notice.

When a "fan of the 'Housewives' franchise chimed in to say that Bob was merely chasing his '15 minutes of fame,'" Billboard narrated, "the queen openly mocked" that claim, "considering [they] won 'Drag Race' back in 2016 and was part of Madonna's Celebration Tour, which ended in 2024."

"Somebody better call the man who's supposed to be watching the clock," Billboard quoted Bob's tweet. "My fifteen minutes was supposed to be up 9 years ago."

"After one fan reacted poorly to Bob claiming he 'didn't know' who Medley was, the Drag Race star offered a matter-of-fact comeback: 'Well she's gone. Move on,'" Billboard recounted.

Eventually, Bob threw down the gauntlet to all comers: "Do these Housewife fans think I'm scared? Honey, I survived Drag Race Twitter," they posted. "At least DR fans tweet from their real profiles."

It wasn't just fans Bob showed their claws to, but fellow contestants, including Chanel Ayan, who let loose with a firehose of venom about Bob, and to whom the iconic queen replied, "See you at the reunion. 💋"

Bob's sangfroid extended to Dorinda as well.

There was no love lost between Bob and fellow cast member Dylan Efron, whose brother is Zac Efron. People Magazine looked back on a scorching exchange between the two in which Efron accused Bob of treachery, saying, "Bob is an amazing actor," but then added, "I grew up with an actor."

"Not a good one," Bob the Drag Queen fired back.

The queen's defiant, "take 'em all on" attitude was summarized on their Instagram page, where a meme declared, "Bitches talk shit, bitches get hit."

Bob's didn't stop there: "How many of your faves do I need to send home before somebody compliments my outfit 😭" the drag star captioned the post.

But then Bob threw the wrong person under the bus.

"The Traitors" pits two groups of contestants against each other - the "Faithful," and the titular "Traitors," who operate in secret and try to undermine the Faithful by sowing confusion and distrust. Cast members are eliminated by being "murdered" in the night by the Traitors, but also by being voted off by the group. The Traitors game the system by manipulating the Faithful into voting each other off the show while concealing their own treachery.

Bob, being one of the Traitors, also made the unexpected choice of implicating one of their own Traitorous colleagues, "Survivor" alum Rob Mariano.

That made Mariano determined to help oust the "Drag Race" champ from the Scottish castle where the show is set.

"I can't trust Bob anymore, and we gotta give the Faithfuls some blood," Mariano said in one of the show's interview portions. "So what I want is to blindside Bob the Drag Queen, and I gotta do it tonight."

Dylan Efron joined Mariano in the quest to oust Bob. Efron had pegged Bob as a Traitor in the season's first episode, but couldn't marshal the numbers to defeat them. Once Efron and Mariano joined forces, however, Bob's number was up: They were ejected from the castle in last night's [Jan. 16] episode, despite feeling confident that they could survive any challenge.

Unbowed to the last, Bob took to X to comment on their farewell beat by beat as the show played out for viewers.

High drama indeed!
