Watch: Nicole Kidman and Harry Dickinson are Beyond Sexy in Trailer for New Thriller 'Babygirl'

Nicole Kidman is having the affair of a lifetime in the trailer for the upcoming erotic thriller "Babygirl."

Kidman plays Romy, who finds herself in a cat-and-mouse relationship with Harry Dickinson's character Samuel, her intern.

In one scene, Romy declares to Samuel that she has been a "good girl" and the intensity turns up from there. Between meetups in hotel rooms, bars and backrooms, the pair's chemistry spills over until it reaches a boiling point where the lines blur between their personal and professional lives.

"Everyone is just waiting for me to buckle under the pressure," says Kidman as Romy in a voice over, as the trailer juxtaposes her life as a "collaborator" and "nurturer" with her secret relationship with her intern.

"I think you like to be told what to do," says Dickinson's Samuel to Romy. He adds, "Sorry, I didn't mean to ... that was incredibly inappropriate."

Romy declares to Samuel, "You're very young." She adds, "I don't want to hurt you." To which Samuel responds, "Hurt me? I think I have power over you. Because I could make one call and you would lose everything. Does that turn you on when I say that?"

The A24 film from writer and director Halina Reijn ("Bodies, Bodies, Bodies") left audiences buzzing at the Venice Film Festival and earned a reported seven-minute standing ovation, reported Deadline.

Kidman shared that her experience making the film was "very freeing," and it apparently shows on the screen.

"The film is obviously, yes, about sex, it's about desire, it's about your inner thoughts, it's about secrets, it's about marriage, it's about truth, power, consent ... This is one woman's story, and I hope a very liberating story," said Kidman, Deadline reported. "It's told by a woman through her gaze ... and that's to me what made it so unique was that suddenly I was going to be in the hands of a woman with this material and it was very deep to share those things and very freeing."
