Watch: Trailer for Gay 'Bachelor' Show 'Finding Prince Charming' Hits Web
READ TIME: 2 MIN.
Logo released the first trailer for its new "Bachelor"-style gay dating show called "Finding Prince Charming."
The prince charming in question is Robert Sepulveda Jr., a 33-year-old former fashion model turned interior designer. Hosted by *NYSNC member Lance Bass, "Finding Prince Charming" will follow Sepulveda Jr. as he finds the man of his dreams from a crop of 13 eligible bachelors.
"I'm here to find the love of my life. I'm here to find my partner," Sepulveda Jr. says in the trailer. "I don't want this to just be a moment in time; I want it to be long-lasting."
Like ABC's hit reality show "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette," the suitors of "Finding Prince Charming" will all live together and will be eliminated week-by-week by Sepulveda Jr., People magazine reports. Once the designer finds who he is looking for, they will "commit to an exclusive relationship."
But just like the hetero dating shows, "Finding Prince Charming" appears to have its share of drama as well: The trailer shows plenty of heated arguments between the suitors, and in one scene a suitor says he's, "calling the cops."
Sepulveda Jr. hails from Puerto Rico and currently lives in Atlanta, Ga. where he runs his own luxury design firm, People notes. He is also founder of Atlanta Rainbow Crosswalks, an LGBT civil arts project that uses public art and community outreach to raise awareness of diversity and equality.
"Finding Prince Charming" airs its 90-minute premier on Sept. 8 at 9 p.m. on Logo.
