A week ago Monday the Boardwalk held the first annual Mr. Boardwalk Adult Entertainer contest. Congrats to winner DJ Greyson Jubilee. On Tuesday Latinos Salud held their Florida AIDS Walk benefit at Chill Wine Lounge and raised much needed funds for this worthy cause. Congrats to Stephen (director) and Chad (Chill owner) on a great event. On Thursday, the Village Pub presented Electra live in concert as Bette Midler. It was so successful they planned another Electra concert in April.
The Gay night of Vanities at the Parker Playhouse took place on Friday night and Hotspots Editor Mike Halterman came down from Central Florida to see the show and meet Heather and Nicholle Thom. Saturday started out with AIDs Walk Orlando where Hotspots proudly represented and then we drove down south to Palm Beach for the first day of Palm Beach Pride. Sunday started with Florida Aids Walk and Musical Festival which once again was a huge success. Afterwards we went back up to Palm Beach for the parade and second day of Palm Beach Pride, which never ceases to amaze me.
Sunday evening Lambda Legal in Fort Lauderdale presented an even at the Bonnet House Museum and Gardens where they celebrated Lambda Legal's victories for equality and to commit to work ahead. The night honored Robert Boo, the Pride Centers Chief Executive Officer. Congrats to Robert on a well-deserved honor and to Lambda for a great event.
Thursday, April 3
Score's WTF Thursdays presents a Pride official fundraiser, where proceeds benefit the 2014 Miami Beach Gay Pride. The night will feature a live performance by up and coming recording artist Mark Catarroja as well as shows by Latrice Royale and house diva Daisy Deadpetals with beats by AJ Reddy. WTF Thursdays is hosted by Chyna Girl and the Ferro Bros.
The Sunshine Stampede presents "Queens and Cowboys" one screening only at the Gateway Theater at 7:30 pm. Tickets must be purchased online at FGRA.org.
The Village Pub welcomes the Sunshine Stampede and following the Gateway's Theatre's screening of "Queens and Cowboys" they present the official after party.
The Pride Center at Equality Park presents "Wonders of America and More," featuring photography by Albert Barg, Jeff Weisberg and Brandon Quarters of spectacular scenes and animals from national parks across America, and around the world. This gallery is free and open to the public, including the wine & cheese reception today from 7-9 pm. Show runs until April 30, (please note the exhibit is closed the day of April 5). Filthy Gorgeous, one of the hottest Friday night dance parties takes place at Score the largest gay nightclub in Miami Beach will be celebrating their 6th anniversary tonight. Filthy Gorgeous Friday has been a big bridge of publicity for some of today's World renown artists such as: Kat D'Luna, Kat Graham, Liz Primo, Meital, Jessie & the Toyboys, Neon Hitch, Natalia Kills among many others! The annual Miss Miami Beach Gay Pride Pageant, a fundraiser for Miami Beach Gay Pride takes place today at Score honoring Tiffany Fantasia, Miss Miami Beach Gay Pride 2013. The night will be hosted by Tiffany with special guest performances by Missy Meyakie Lepaige and Nikki Wyte and many others. Doors open at 10pm with pageant starting promptly at 11 pm.
