Pete Davidson Laughs Off Kanye's Threats Amid Being Called a 'Diva'

Is Pete Davidson behaving badly to his "SNL" colleagues?

A source told the British tabloid The Sun that the 28-year-old series regular has alienated some of his cast members since he began dating Kim Kardashian late last year.

The source said "Pete has become a total diva at SNL," adding that "He missed the first few days of rehearsal last week and was still allowed to be in Saturday's show. Normally, if you miss any rehearsals, you are out of the show on Saturday night, and the cast is starting to turn on him."

And some other cast members are annoyed or maybe just envious of the attention. "He also now has security for when he's outside the building...Colin [Jost] married an actual movie star [Scarlett Johansson] and yet Pete is getting more attention."

Davidson also laughed off Kardashian's ex Kanye West name-dropping him in a cryptic lyric. "In a track released last week by West and the Game, Kardashian's estranged husband raps, 'God saved me from that crash/ Just so I can beat Pete Davidson's ass,'" reported Page Six. "(He is, presumably, referring to the 2002 car accident that left him with a broken jaw.)"

"Pete thinks it's totally hilarious," an insider told Page Six. "Not just that — he thinks the whole [tabloid drama with him, West and Kardashian] is hilarious. He loves it."

And West's songs had an unexpected consequence. "The whole craziness with Kanye last week has brought Kim and Pete closer," another source told Page Six.

West claimed in an interview last week that he wasn't able to see his kids because Davidson was with Kardashian in Los Angeles, but "a source close to Kardashian told Page Six, 'Pete has yet to be introduced to Kim's kids, and it's widely known that whenever he visits her in LA, he stays at a hotel in Beverly Hills where she's been spotted with him.'"

While the Davidson-West feud is growing, it apparently did not begin when the "SNL" regular began dating Kardashian after her appearance hosting the show last October. But it might have began when West hosted the show in 2018 wearing a MAGA hat. He also ranted in support of President Donald Trump, which never made it on the air.

The following week, Davidson joined Jost in a "Weekend Update" segment where he commented on West's appearance. "Speaking strictly for myself, what Kanye said when we went off the air was one of the worst, most awkward things I have ever seen here and I have seen Chevy Chase talk to an intern."

West at the time claimed he had been bullied in rehearsals for wearing his MAGA hat, to which Davidson replied wasn't true, and added: "I wish I had bullied you," he said. "I wish I would have suggested that it might offend some people like your wife, or every black person ever."

Davidson continued, "Kanye, I know you are like, 'This is the real me, I'm off the meds.' Take 'em. There is no shame in the medicine game. I'm on 'em, it's great. There's nothing wrong with taking them."
