EDGE Rewind: 'Love, Victor' Star Michael Cimino Fires Up Social Media with Thirst Traps
EDGE is reaching into its archive and sharing some of our favorite stories from the past.
Actor Michael Cimino recently concluded the final season of "Love, Victor," the hit Netflix spin-off of the film "Love, Simon." Over the show's three seasons, Cimino played a teenager whose family has relocated to Georgia. In addition, Victor deals with coming out as gay.
Cimino, though, isn't taking time off from performing. He also released a new song entitled "stole me" on July 29. And it was announced last month that he will be joining the cast of Netflix's final season of "Never Have I Ever," which is a coming-of-age comedy series starring Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Darren Barnet, and Jaren Lewison.
"The 22-year-old actor will play the recurring role of Ethan who is a skater and new heartthrob at Sherman Oaks High. 'Never Have I Ever' will return for Season 3 on August 12 of this year, and the final season will be airing in 2023," Instinct Magazine said. "Aside from 'Never Have I Ever,' Cimino will also be starring in a film entitled 'B-Loved,' which is a two-episode romantic special on HBO Max."
According to the synopsis, "The film revolves around Bea (Peyton List), a free-spirited teenage ghost who forms a special friendship with the new boy in town, Cole (Cimino), whose house she has been inhabiting for more than 100 years. With the help of a magical ring that allows Cole to see Bea, they'll rediscover the meaning of being alive, but also the importance of letting go."
Cimino has also been pleasing his fans with a series of Instagram thirst traps. In one post, he shows how he deals with a 90-degree-plus LA day by cooling himself with a hose.
In a second post, he is shirtless and playing with fire with the comment: "I got these roses for you but you didn't listen to 'stole me,'" referring to his recently released single. In the pics, he is holding a bouquet of burning roses.
And in a third, Cimino is relaxing at the beach.
